Boho-cool hippy, all-night raver, blissed-out beach aficionado – Ibiza is all this and much more to the many, various fans who have a soft spot in their hearts for the Balearics party-hard sister. In the summertime, the cream of the worlds DJs (Sven Väth, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren et al) descends on the island, creating it the superb destination for clubbers.

Around 85 percent of the tourists to Ibiza arrive between May and October. If you’re there at the right time (and in the right mood), you can catch some of the world’s best trance, house, and techno deejays performing all through the summer. Alternatively, you can take one of the most guided tours within the city and surrounds, many parts of which have been declared world heritage sites. The airport is petite, with only one terminal building, and getting into town is easy enough using either the buses or taxis. Aside from grabbing a bite to eat, or getting a beer at the bar, there isn’t a whole lot to do at the airport itself.
