Cheap Flights to Kos
Located in the Aegean Sea near to the Turkish mainland, Kos Island is the 3rd largest Dodecanese island. Green and fertile, it is nestled amid Kalymnos and Nisyros. Kos Town is the island’s capital, as well as an ancient port, and boasts a plethora of happening bars and lively restaurants serving lip-smacking cuisine and beverages. The town is also loaded with historic sites, reflecting on the island’s past inhabitants – Romans, Egyptians, Venetians, Ottomans and the Knights of St. John. There are ruins of the amphitheatre and Roman baths, and an enormous 15th century castle built by the Knights of St. John still stands.
Kardamena Village nestled on the island’s south coast is one of the most popular resorts among British tourists. Kefalos Village is peaceful than other parts of Kos. Perched on a hillside, the village has a nice, stretched beach and serves up a unwinding experience to tourists. Despite its popularity, the village retains its traditionally Greek nature with narrow alleys and whitewashed houses. The peak season is July and August i.e. Kos and crowds (particularly beach-goers) will likely be plentiful during this time. These months are generally the hottest, most humid and the busiest.
